Eliokem has introduced a new modified solution acrylic for use in high performance cure and seal membranes for concrete. Pliolite LV15S is a tough acrylic copolymer that is dissolved in aromatic 100 and sold in solution. This modified solution acrylic resin can be easily formulated with economical solvents. Formulation can be made with Pliolite LV15S at 25% solids to meet the requirements of ASTM C1315, Type 1 Class C testing. The product was developed for the solvent-based cure and seal membrane market. According to Eliokem, coatings formulated with this resin have good chemical resistance, excellent water retention and low viscosity. They can be sprayed easily, even in low temperatures.
